Average HYROX Times
What’s a good HYROX time? Here are the real percentiles — not vibes.
The short answer
The median singles HYROX finish is 1:21:44 for men and 1:33:57 for women. That's the midpoint — half the field is faster, half slower.
But "average" hides a lot. A "good" time depends on where in the field you want to stand. The percentile tables below show exactly that: a p25 time means you're faster than 75% of finishers; p10 means top 10%.
Based on 14,576 men and 11,236 women who finished a singles HYROX at six Season-8 races (London, Berlin, Dallas, Birmingham, Manchester and Melbourne). Data: hyresult.com.
Men — finish-time percentiles
| Percentile | Finish time | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| p10 | 1:08:09 | Top 10% — a genuinely fast HYROX |
| p25 | 1:14:15 | Top quarter |
| Median (p50) | 1:21:44 | Right in the middle |
| p75 | 1:29:42 | Back quarter |
| p90 | 1:42:20 | — |
So a sub-1:15 puts a man in the top 25%; sub-1:10 is top-10% territory.
Women — finish-time percentiles
| Percentile | Finish time | Meaning |
|---|---|---|
| p10 | 1:17:34 | Top 10% |
| p25 | 1:24:17 | Top quarter |
| Median (p50) | 1:33:57 | Right in the middle |
| p75 | 1:46:13 | Back quarter |
| p90 | 1:59:44 | — |
A sub-1:25 puts a woman in the top quarter; sub-1:18 is top-10%.
Average HYROX time by age
Finish times peak in the 25–29 band for both men and women. After that the two diverge sharply:
| Age group | Men (median) | Women (median) |
|---|---|---|
| Under 24 | 1:17:08 | 1:31:00 |
| 25–29 | 1:16:29 | 1:29:16 |
| 30–34 | 1:19:32 | 1:31:51 |
| 35–39 | 1:21:40 | 1:30:19 |
| 40–44 | 1:22:45 | 1:29:48 |
| 45–49 | 1:23:23 | 1:28:38 |
Men slow by ~7 minutes from their late-20s peak to their late-40s. Women barely move — every band from 25 to 49 sits within about two minutes of each other. HYROX is one of the rare endurance formats where women's age curve is almost flat through the masters years.
Sample-based medians; the 50+ bands are omitted here because the samples are still too small to be reliable.
